Reform Party official: top 2014 achievement was high percentage of pledges implemented
Reform Party secretary general Martin Kukk said that a large part of the coalition's pledges were made good on.
Uudised.err.ee asked officials from the top four parties what 2014's top achievements were.
Kukk said: "Many didn't believe that the governing coalition's goals could be carried out, but they were. In addition to security aspects, the priorities have been the lowering of workforce taxes and continuing the rise of child benefits."
On January 1, workforce taxes fell - income tax dropped from 21 pecent to 20 percent, and unemployment premium from 3 to 2.4 percent. The tax-free minimum increased from 144 to 154 euros. Benefits paid for a family's first and second child rose to 45 euros a month; for the third child, to 100 euros a month.
