President's Office: Dialogue on Political Crisis of Confidence Will Be Inclusive
The President's Office says that parties with no seats in Parliament were intentionally left out of tomorrow's special sit-down, but that the initial meeting will be followed by wider discussion where everyone is welcome.
"Everyone who desires to take part in furthering Estonian democracy and making politics more transparent and open will be given a chance to participate in the dialogue. No one will be left aside," Piret Pert, the spokeswoman for the President's Office, told uudised.err.ee today.
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves called NGOs - including Charter 12 members and activists from “An End to Deceitful Politics" - MPs who are represented in the Parliament and legal experts to tomorrow's meeting.
The Greens, who have 3-4 percent support but are not represented in Parliament, cried foul today over not being invited to the first meeting. Other parties with less support joined them in protesting.
