MP Olga Sõtnik, who resigned from the Center Party last week, said on Friday she will run for Parliament with the Social Democrats in Tallinn.

“I received an offer from the Social Democrats to run in the Mustamäe and Nõmme joint district and as I believe we share a great number of common values, I decided to accept,” she told uudised.err.ee.

Sõtnik said she is currently not ready to join the party, as it would not be fair to her current electorate, but said added she will not rule the move out.

New IRL recruit Viktoria Ladõnskaja, brought in to the party to increase its 0 percent popularity among ethnic Russians, according to the latest Emor poll, will run in the Tallinn city center, Lasnamäe and Pirita electoral district.

She will be pitted against Center Party Chairman Edgar Savisaar and fresh Minister of Foreign Affairs Keit Pentus-Rosimannus. According to Delfi, she will be IRL's top candidate in the district, where Center Party is expected to make a clean sweep.

According to the media outlet, IRL is planning to run four new faces as the top candidates in four electoral districts, including Maire Aunaste in Hiiumaa and Saaremaa, former ISS chief Ravo Aeg in Lääne County, and former journalist Anvar Samost in Ida-Viru County.
