Anti-Pirate Team Sees First Ship to Destination
The Estonian "water marshals" escorting ships in pirate-infested Gulf of Aden have completed their first assignment, seeing a Somalian-flagged vessel and its cargo of humanitarian aid safely to its destination.
The team, which embarked on its posting on November 13 as part of the EU's Atalanta mission, has been operating since November 21 in tandem with the German navy and is based aboard the German frigate Hamburg, the Defense Forces headquarters said.
