Kallas Not a Vote-Magnet, Says Toomla
University of Tartu political scientist Rein Toomla said that the Andrus Ansip and Siim Kallas switch will not increase the party's popularity significantly.
Toomla told Postimees on Thursday that Kallas may attract voters who have grown weary of Ansip, adding that no spike in popularity should be expected.
“There are people in and outside of the party who have questioned Kallas's return. They are not happy about it and take a more critical stance,” he said.
Toomla said he does not know when the proposed switch will actually take place.
