WikiLeaks has published data showing the Estonian government has purchased FinFisher spyware for nearly 1.2 million euros since 2011.

Estonia paid nearly 500,000 euros for base licenses in 2011 and 2012, WikiLeaks said. Other countries listed as users of similar spyware include Slovakia, Mongolia, Qatar, South Africa, Pakistan, Vietnam, Australia and Belgium.

The surveillance software has the ability to take control of computers, view any files and listen in to Skype conversations. The software can also be secretly used on mobile phones, to track movement and listen to any conversations near the phone's microphones.
