Thailand's Foreign Minister to Visit on Saturday
The foreign minister of Thailand, Surapong Tovichakchaikul, will be in Estonia tomorrow to meet his counterpart Urmas Paet.
Tovichakchaikul will visit the ICT Demo Center in Ülemiste, where the nation's information and communication technology solutions are exhibited, and Tallinn's Old Town, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release today.
The two ministers will discuss visa freedom for Estonians traveling to Thailand, which has been one of the key discussion points of previous meetings between leaders of the two nations.
Estonians, unlike Swedes and Finns, are required by Thailand to have a visa to enter the country. At the same time, Thai nationals are still required to have a visa to enter the Schengen zone.
The prime ministers of Estonia and Thailand met in Laos last November.
