The Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, known as Mainor in Estonian, will open a branch in the small Finnish town of Salo, some 100 kilometers from Helsinki.

A two-year business major course will be the first on offer, starting in January 2014 with lectures taking place in Salo and Tallinn in English, Helsingin Sanomat reported.

The initiative came from the Finnish side, with the city and a local vocational school lending a hand.

The Estonian Business School and the Tallinn University Law School have also set up facilities in Finland during the past two years.

The tuition fees in Finland are around 5,000 to 6,000 euros per year, while students are charged half that in Estonia.
