The municipal police warns inhabitants and visitors to the Estonian capital of the danger posed by falling ice and slippery streets.

The situations is the most dangerous in the narrow Old Town streets where snow has not been cleared.

People are advised to walk as close to the walls as possible to avoid snow and icicles falling from the eaves.

All visits to the Old Town should be postponed if possible, the municipal police said.

On Tuesday morning, a block of ice that fell from the roof of Tallinn Jewish School smashed the roof of a parked car (video).
