This Weekend's Weather: More Dark Dampness
Wet, breezy and above-freezing conditions should linger for the next several days as an Atlantic storm system currently headed toward Scotland makes its presence felt in the Baltic region.
Friday's temperatures of +2 to +6 C should drop only slightly over night, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Institute. But as the system moves toward Norway early on Saturday, the winds in Estonia are expected to pick up, topping 50 kph inland and 70 kph on the islands.
Occasional rainfalls are on the cards for Saturday, with the northwest part of the country most eligible for a dousing. During the day, the mercury should stay in the +4 to +6 C range.
Conditions on Sunday should be calmer - winds are expected to drop, though not completely die. Occasional light showers are expected, and temperatures should range from +2 to +5 C.
Long-range forecasts show the first half of next week shaping up to be more of the same, with the first real chance of snow coming only at the end of the week.
