Estonia will switch to daylight saving time this Sunday, 30 March, along with the rest of the European Union, turning clocks ahead one hour at 3:00.

The switch for the winter months takes place on the last Sunday of October, when clocks are turned back one hour.

Chronological may well trump meterological for news value this weekend, as the weather is looking to be uneventful, dry, and quite sunny, albet with chilly early spring temperatures of 4 to 9 C on both Saturday and Sunday, dropping a few degrees below zero both tonight and Saturday night. Winds will be gusty at times, up to 50 kph on the coasts. The start of next week will be more unsettled and chillier, with highs from 1-4 C and some light wintry mix in the forecast.
