The low pressure conditions that painted skies various shades of gray on Friday afternoon are expected to linger through the weekend, bringing rain to some areas.

Showers tonight are most likely to happen in the eastern part of the country, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Institute, though there could also be rain on the west coast in the pre-midnight hours. Overnight temperatures are expected to be in the 9 to 14 C range.

On Saturday, the entire country will be in the meteorological crosshairs as scattered showers are forecast. The mercury should climb into the 20 to 23 C zone during the day, then drop back to 9 to 13 C at night.

Sunday's weather picture remains less certain. Though the effects of the low-pressure system will intensify, if the air mass that's coming in from the southwest doesn't have too much moisture, showers are not very likely. Temperatures both day and night are slated to be the same as Saturday's, but breezes could keep coastal areas a cooler 15 to 16 C.
