Deer camera catches a record 16 animals at once
The State Forest Management Center's deer camera on Saaremaa island recorded an exceptionally large number animals visiting the winter feeding ground at the same time.
At 6:40 in the morning a group of four does and fawns wondered to the feeding ground. They were joined by a stag named Huubert and three more does. Another three young stags and then a few more soon joined the party, until animal enthusiasts could count a record 16 animals.
As the previously identified stags where nowhere to be seen, it has been conjectured that the feeding ground area is being frequented by an even greater number of deer.
