The pattern of clear skies and unseasonably warm temperatures that has been creating picture-perfect autumnal conditions this week is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

A high-pressure system covering the Scandinavian and Baltic Sea area should keep the rain at bay both Saturday and Sunday, with skies remaining largely clear, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Institute.

Some moderate breeziness could, however, be caused by the presence of a relatively low-pressure front to the east.

Friday night's temperatures are expected to be somewhat lower than they have been on previous nights, ranging from 0 to +5 C in most areas and remaining as high as +8 C at the coasts. During the day on Saturday, the mercury will climb into the 10 to 13 C zone before dropping to +2 to +6 C after dark.

Sunday's temperature outlook is slightly warmer, with daytime readings expected to be 10 to 14 C.

The beginning of next week should remain mostly the same, but long-term forecasts are calling for rain on Tuesday and daytime highs are expected to return to the more seasonally normal single digits by midweek.
