This Weekend's Weather: Drippy
A mass of wet air heading in from Scandinavia seems intent on making the final weekend of August soggy, or at least grey, in most parts of Estonia.
Those attending the closing acts of the Towers of Tallinn music festival on Saturday are advised to dress for rain, as isolated showers in the morning are expected to expand and intensify by afternoon, and may even be accompanied by thunder. Daytime temperatures should reach 17 to 21 C, then drop to 9 to 15 C at night.
Periodic rain should continue through Sunday morning and early afternoon before tapering off by evening. The rain will come with winds that could gust up to 50 kilometers per hour. Most of the country is expected to see temperatures of 16 to 19 C, but eastern areas could be a degree or two warmer.
The picture looks slightly better for the first day of the school year on Monday, with less chance of rain, though the breeziness is slated to continue.
