Training Ignites Defense Forces' Firing Range
A shooting practice session at the Defense Forces central training area, a 12,000 hectare plot of land near Tapa, in northeast Estonia, caused some small forest fires Tuesday.
Rescue workers received a call at around 21:00 last night and all fires were quelled by 3:20 this morning.
Lieutenant Commander Ingrid Mühling, a spokesman for the Headquarters of the Defense Forces, said two military fire trucks were present before the fire broke out, dampening the ground. The area was also surrounded by fire walls.
Javelin anti-tank missiles were fired on the territory earlier that day.
