Tallinn to Aid Victims of Latvian Tragedy

The City of Tallinn has allocated 100,000 euros from its reserve fund for the victims of the Riga shopping center collapse.

Fifty-four people were left dead after a grocery store roof collapsed on November 21. Three rescuers were among those killed, and another 39 people were injured.

No children were killed, but 22 children lost one or both parents as a result of the accident.

Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis today announced his resignation in connection with the tragedy.
