This year's Veterans Day campaign in April collected 100,235 euros, passing all expectations.

The campaign, which included the hepatica flower pin sales, was organized for the second year running, having collected 68,000 euros in 2014.

“Our aim was to better value veterans and their contribution in society with the hepatica flowers. More volunteers, businesses and state offices helped us with that this year. People wore the flower with pride. This inspires us to carry on with the tradition,” organizer Rasmus Penno said.

The majority of the money came from the sale of the flowers, which were made by people with special needs. Around 50,000 in total were sold.

The funds will be used to purchase a rehabilitation robotic system for the Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Center.
