Courts accepted a request by the Southern District Prosecutor's Office to place a 15-year old accused of killing a teacher under arrest after he had spent over two months in a medical institution undergoing psychological analysis.

The psychological report was due this week, but experts asked and received an extension of one month.

The presence of Vahur at the medical facility is no longer required and authorities placed the student under arrest, saying the likelihood he will further endanger the safety to other is too great.

He will remain under arrest until at least the end of the preliminary investigation.

The pupil had been in a medical institution since October 28, one day after the event itself.

The student shot and killed Ene Sarap, 56, during a lesson at the Paalalinna School in Viljandi. No others were harmed, and the shooter did not resist arrest.

According to Estonian laws, minors of at least 14-years old can be prosecuted, and the student, if found guilty, can face up to 10 years in prison.
