GALLERY: Anti-Cohabitation Bill Rally Draws Hundreds
A protest against the Cohabitation Act, currently in debate in Parliament, was attended by hundreds on Sunday, with some estimates putting attendance at 1,000.
The protest was organized by the Foundation for the Protection of Family and Tradition. Many who attended told uudised.err.ee they are more worried for the society than any direct effect the Act would have on them.
A poll by ERR conducted in August showed 58 percent of the nation's inhabitants are against the bill, while 34 percent were in favor.
A slim majority of the under-35 group supported the legislation, while older people, and those of other ethnicity than Estonian, were more likely to support the bill.
