92% Content With Tartu Life, Survey Finds
A study commissioned by the Tartu City Government and repeated every five years has found that 92 percent of Tartu residents are at least content with life in the city, the highest level since 2003 when the poll was first conducted.
While the percentage of people happy with life in the city has changed little, climbing steadily from 89 percent in 2003, the number of people happy with the general safety level in Tartu has increased from 60 percent a decade ago to 75 percent currently.
The portion of the population happy with the local government is far smaller than that content with life in the city in general - residents gave the local government a score of 3.3 out of 5. That level has remained largely unchanged since 2003.
The survey, conducted by Cumulus Consulting, was based on opinions sampled from 1,500 city residents.
