What did week 29 of 2015 bring to Estonia?
On Wednesday, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves officially approved Marina Kaljurand's nomination as Estonia's 29th foreign minister.
The festival season is in full swing. This weekend saw the largest outdoor music festival in the Baltics, the Positivus Music Festival take place in the coastal town of Salacgrīva, Latvia, just 10 kilometers from the Estonian border. Thousands of Estonian music fans made their way over to the south of the border to enjoy an outstanding lineup, including 19 artists from Estonia.
Tallinn, at the same time, hosted the annual Maritime Days, which included a grand maritime parade of 80 vessels, as well as numerous concerts, a fireworks display and a laser show. And in the south of Estonia, a European rally championships stage FIA ERC auto24 Rally Estonia took place simultaneously.
On Sunday, Estonian Television celebrated its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, ERR published a selection of photos of its colorful history.
