Police have began an investigation after two children, aged five and seven, went missing in Kohtla-Järve, NE Estonia, on Monday night, only to be found unharmed 14 hours later.

The children went missing at 20:00 on Monday while playing outside and found at 10:00 Tuesday by an elderly woman, who police say has not previously had a criminal past.

Joal Alla of the Police's East Prefecture, said it is too early to say if the woman forced the children to come with her, adding that the woman asked the children to help bring cats to her apartment.
