The second annual Festival of Opinion, bringing together politicians, commentators and the public, attracted 4,000 visitors over the weekend in Paide, twice as many as last year.

Former prime ministers Siim Kallas, Andres Tarand and Juhan Parts shared their view on how they would lead the country, if they were still in power, as one of the many debates, discussions, and panels on show to the public in Paide, the geographically most central town in Estonia.

Russian-language media in Estonia was dissected on the ERR stage at the Arvamusfestival, while the closing centenary of the nation was also a subject of one discussion.

Emigration, security and the future of Estonian schools were also discussed.
