Allied forces out in numbers in Independence Day parade
Soldiers from Spain, the United States, United Kingdom, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands will participate in Estonia's Independence Day military parade in Narva on February 24.
A total of 1,400 participants will take part in the parade, which will begin 11:30 local time and will be available for viewing via a live stream.
Besides members of defense forces, the home guard and prison service and Academy of Security Service representatives will also take part.
The Dutch CV90 combat vehicles, soon to be sold to Estonia, will be present, as will US Stryker armored vehicles. Estonia will dust off its Sisu armored personnel carriers, Mistral surface-to-air missiles, Zu-23-2 anti-aircraft cannons, the Milan anti-tank missile systems, 155 and 122 millimeter artillery pieces, 120 and 81 millimeter mortars, 90 millimeter anti-tank guns, and the mobile radar system Ground Master among other equipment.
