TV charity show raises nearly 145,000 euros for children's hobbies
ETV's annual charity fundraising program "Jõulutunnel" raised nearly 145,000 euros in donations from viewers.
This year, the funds will be allocated to children whose parents or guardians cannot afford to pay for their hobbies. The collected funds will cover attendance fees and necessary equipment of children who are raised by their grandparents or come from large families, and the needs of those talented youngsters, who are disadvantaged for some other reason.
Last year the program garnered over 208,000 euros for the Food Bank and the year before close to 200,000 for a care home complex for mentally handicapped children.
The charity program first aired in 1999.
