Rescue Centers Open Doors to Public
The Rescue Board has opened the doors of its nearly 100 command centers around the country, inviting interested members of the public to visit from today through Saturday.
Rescue technology and equipment will be on display at the centers, and rescue workers will give demonstrations on water and fire safety, the Rescue Board said on its website.
The head of the Emergency Prevention Department at the board, Indrek Ints, said that this kind of direct communication between the public and rescue workers is the most efficient way of fire prevention.
Opening hours and days of the centers vary, and a few require preregistration to visit.
