Usually signs allowing motorists to drive 110 kilometers per hour on divided highways are removed at the end of each summer, but the good weather this year has resulted in an extension to October 31.

There are three main sections of road with 110 kph speed limit - the first part of the Tallinn-Narva highway, the first part of the Tallinn-Tartu highway and a 6 kilometer bypass at the midpoint of the highway to Tartu. There is a total of 220.5 kilometers of divided four-lane roads.

The speed limit applies to passenger cars and motorcycles, heavier vehicles must still keep hold of the 90 kph limit.
