Kitchen Grenade Attacker Imprisoned for 10 Years
Harju County Court handed a 50-year-old man a 10-year prison sentence today for throwing a hand grenade into a kitchen in September, which injured three people.
The court found Jevgeni Jefimov guilty of attempted murder, violent conduct and possession of illegal explosives, although the prosecution asked for a 15-year jail term.
Jefimov's lawyers said it was an accident.
Jefimov threw the grenade into a kitchen in Tallinn after a domestic dispute over money on September 6, last year. Two of the victims received serious injuries.
