During car-free week, September 16-22, all car users will have free access to Tallinn's public transport system - buses, trams and trolleybuses.

Only a driver's license is needed, not the €2 green farecard.

All of September is environmentally friendly transport month in Tallinn, with September 21 being car-free day Europe-wide.

On that day, a public walk and bike ride will take place and the Tallinn Transport Department will hold an orienteering competition involving public transport.

Tallinn offers its residents free public transport year-round, being the first city in the world to do so.
