GALLERY: Pro-Campaigners Make Last Ditch Effort With Flowers
A social media campaign "say it with flowers," supporting the Cohabitation Act, turned to the streets on Thursday morning, before the vote, to hand members of Parliament flowers.
Nearly 1,000 people donated a total of 6,500 euros to buy the flowers, which were given to all MPs ahead of the vote on the controversial bill, which was passed by two votes.
A note asking for the MPs to vote “yes” accompanied the flowers, while a small group from the anti-camp held signs with the reverse message.
