The North Estonian Regional Hospital (PERH) is holding a pre-Christmas blood drive, beginning on Saturday at two locations.

Interested donors can go to the Blood Center, which is located at Ädala 2 off Sõle street, or the Foorum center at Narva 5, across from Coca-Cola Plaza on the fourth floor. Donations can be given between 10-15.

"We are in the pre-holiday season on Saturday, and thanks to this many donors are using this opportunity to do a good deed before Christmas," said Riin Kullaste, the head of the Blood Center. "Also, during long holidays, donor blood is needed in hospitals."

Prospective donors need to be Estonian citizens or have had a residency permit for at least one year to qualify. They also need to be fit, healthy, rested and fed, and weigh more than 50 kilograms, and be between the ages of 18-60. The Blood Center says to expect you to spent one hour.

Before Christmas, you can donated blood on December 22 at the Blood Center between 8-16 and the Foorum between 11-19. On December 23, you can donate at the Blood Center 8-16 and the Foorum between 9-14.
