Estelon Extreme loudspeaker, newly launched by the Estonian family firm Alfred & Partners, has been selected the CES 2015 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree in the High Performance Home Audio and Video product category.

The winners were chosen by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade media.

The 2-meter high Estelon Extreme loudspeaker is capable of reproducing the highest quality soundscapes, where the speaker itself completely disappears as the sound source. The speaker is made of crushed marble-based composites and consists of two modules. A user can remotely change the height of the upper module and get rid of unwanted reflections from the walls and ceiling that affect the sound quality.

“I am extremely proud to be honored with the “Best of Innovation” award. It gives me energy to work even harder on my ongoing R&D projects in changing the way people listen to music,” said Alfred Vassilkov, founder and designer of Estelon speakers. “This award confirms that I have really learned something during my 30 years of experience and I am happy to apply my knowledge to our products that provide the listener with an unforgettable and “extreme” experience.”

The CES is a gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years— a global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. First awards for achievements in product design and engineering were announced in 1976.

This year, the honorees also included Adidas Smart Ball, handheld Fuel3D scanner, bluetooth-enabled padlock Noke, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, the Dash wireless headphones and ZutA pocket printer.

The Best of Innovation designs will be featured in the Innovation Awards Showcase at Las Vegas, Nevada, at the 2015 CES.
