Former Skype CEO Sten Tamkivi's Teleport start-up received 1.9 million euros in investments, after the unveiling of the project in May.

Teleport, which is still in the development and testing phase, is software which helps people compare the living costs and other factors of different nations and cities.

The company said on its website on Monday that it has attracted 2.5 million dollars (1.9 million euros) from investors such as Andreessen Horoqitz, SV Angel, Seedcamp and many others, including Estonian IT gurus such as Jaan Tallinn, a programmer who participated in the development of Skype in 2002 and FastTrack/Kazaa, a file-sharing application, in 2000.
