Last of the Stadler Trains to Arrive by Summer
The last of the 40 new Stadler trains to be operated on the nation's lines by Elron will arrive by the beginning of June, the company has said.
The state-owned company, which began using the new trains on Harju County lines in June of last year and took over intercity lines from January 1, has already taken delivery of 20 electric and 13 diesel trains, Norbert Kaarest, the Elron spokesman, told uudised.err.ee on Friday.
He said that the company is expecting delivery of the 14th diesel train at the end of January with six more arriving one at a time every few weeks thereafter until late May or early June.
The electric trains are used on Harju County lines, while the diesel trains service the intercity lines.
