Rõivas to sign Estonia, Dubai e-governance and ICT memorandum
Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas is on an official visit to Dubai and Oman, aiming to promote Estonian business and IT solutions.
Accompanied by a business delegation, Rõivas will take part in meetings with local government members and entrepreneurs.
In Dubai, the Estonian delegation will attend GITEX, the largest e-governance technology exhibition in the region, where Rõivas will give a speech entitled “Smart Cities”, and open Estonia's networking seminar. Rõivas will also sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between Estonia and Dubai on e-governance and ICT.
According to Rõivas, the aim is to open doors for Estonian entrepreneurs in the local market, and introduce Estonian IT solutions to government representatives and companies.
Prime minister will also meet with local Estonians and business partners in Dubai.
In Oman, Rõivas will meet with Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said and other government members. The Estonian delegation will also visit the IT agency of Oman and take part in a business seminar, where the cooperation between the two countries on economy and ICT will be discussed.
