New Office Represents Scientific Community's Interests in Brussels
The Estonian Liaison Office for Research and Technical Development was opened in Brussels today, with the aim of establishing contacts and promoting Estonian research interests in the European Union.
The one-person agency is affiliated with the Informal Group of RTD Liaison Offices, a non-profit organization. Kristi Kiitsak, the agency's only full-time employee (it will have one internship position), said the project is financed by the Education Ministry's “international science” program, which in turn receives the majority of its funds from the European Regional Development Fund.
The project has a budget of 368,000 euros, which will keep it running until the end of summer 2015.
