Tickets for European U-23 Athletics Championships, held in Tallinn between July 9-12, also went on sale on Monday.
Erik Pallas, the main organizer of the event, said that there are some changes to the conventional ticketing system.
"For the first time in the history of athletics in Estonia, tickets will have seat numbers attached, because the demand for the tickets is great from all over Europe and this way people are guaranteed a seat in their preferred stand. It also means that tickets should be bought sooner rather than later, to avoid disappointment," Pallas said.
The tickets are on sale in Piletilevi until July 8. A 4-day pass costs 20 euros when bought in advance. Disabled persons, their helpers and children under the age of seven can attend the event for free, concession pass costs 15 euros. VIP supporters tickets, which offer entry to VIP sector and include catering, are available for 100 euros.
At the gate, a 4-day ticket will cost 30/20 euros and a one-day ticket 10/5 euros.
The event will bring to Tallinn over 1,000 present and future sporting stars. U-23 athletes won 27 medals in this year's European Athletics Championships in Zurich. Estonia will be represented by around 30 young athletes.
Estonia has won seven medals from the nine championships held so far, including Rasmus Mägi's bronze in 400m hurdles in 2013 and Grit Šadeiko's gold in heptathlon in 2011.
