Estonia Loses 0-4 to Ukraine
The national football team lost 0-4 to Ukraine in a friendly in the Austrian town of Kufstein on Monday night.
Though the two teams are almost evenly matched in FIFA rankings - Ukraine is 50th while Estonia 54th - history hasn't favored the blue shirts. Previously, the Estonian side lost three matches against Ukraine, hosts of this year's European Championship.
The defeat to Ukraine follows another to Croatia that took place last Friday, ending with a score of 3-1.
Immediately on the heels of its Ukrainian match, Estonia is set to take on another three national teams: It will take on Finland on June 1 and either Latvia or Lithuania on June 3 as part of the Baltic Cup in Tartu. Then on June 5, it will play a historic game against France in Le Mans, which will make Estonia the first UEFA member to have played an official match against each and every one of its European counterparts.
