Estonian athletics has a new star in discus thrower Martin Kupper, who made broke into the nation's sporting consciousness with a great performance on Saturday.

The 25-year-old recorded a personal best of 66.67 meters at a European Cup event in Leiria, Portugal. The result also won him the competition and is the longest throw of 2015 in the world, so far. He also qualified for the Beijing World Championships.

Kupper also broke into the Estonian all-time best rankings and is in fourth place. Gert Kanter holds the record with 73.38 meters.

FC Flora, Nõmme Kalju and Sillamäe Kalev continue with full points after the second round of the Estonian league season. Flora beat Infonet 2-0 away but the match was overshadowed by an unusual problem. Infonet star player Nikolay Mashichev was forced to be substituted out of the game after his shirt number fell off and the team did not have a second shirt. Take a look at the goals from that game here.

Kalju beat Paide Linnameeskond 3-0 and Sillamäe defeated Viljani Tulevik 2-0, both away games for the winners.

Last year's champion FC Levadia continued its slow start to the season, recording a second draw in a row, which means the team is already four points behind the leading group.
