Belgium's Bervoets to Coach Estonia for Motocross des Nations
Marnicq Bervoets - three-time winner of the team Motocross des Nations and four-time silver medal winner in the Grand Prix - has agreed to assist the Estonian national motocross team in training.
The team is preparing for this year's Motocross des Nations, to take place in September on a sand track in Lommel, Belgium.
Veiko Biene, secretary general of the Motorcycling Federation, was freshly appointed to head the national team last month. One of his first moves was to recruit Bervoets for training.
Bervoets is skilled rider on sand and the former coach of Tanel Leok, one of Estonia's best motocross riders.
In 2004, Estonia came in fourth place in Holland, achieving its best result in the Motocross des Nations. That team comprised Aigar Leok, Tanel Leok and Juss Laansoo.
Candidates for the 2012 team include Tanel Leok, Priit Rätsep, Gert Krestinov, Juss Laansoo, Lauri Lehtla, Indrek Mägi, Ardo Kaurit and Andre Park.
