Both the Canadian men's and women's teams won gold at the World Junior Curling Championships in Tallinn on Sunday with Estonia failing to qualify for next year's tournament.

Canada beat Switzerland 6-3 in the first of the two finals in Tallinn's new Tondiraba Ice Hall with Scotland beating Sweden in the bronze match.

In the other final, Canadian beat Scotland 8-2 to clinch the women's title. Switzerland won bronze ahead of Sweden.

Estonia, not known for its curling feats, had at least one win in both competitions. The women's team beat England and the Czech Republic to finish eighth in the ten-team group. The men managed to beat Italy in their first game but lost all the following games to finish last in the group.
