Three killed as rally car hits spectators
A 25-year-old couple and a 41-year-old driver were killed after a flipping rally car hit spectators Saturday evening.
The incident happened during the ninth stage of Neste Oil Harju Rally at around 17:00, near Ardu, Harju County, when Sander Sepp lost control of his Renault Clio and ploughed into spectators, leaving three dead.
The deceased are a 41-year-old rally car driver who had pulled out of the race earlier in the day, his 25-year-old mechanic and the mechanic's girlfriend, also 25.
Sepp and his co-pilot were taken to the hospital for check-up but their lives are not in danger, police representative told ERR.
