Vassiljev leaves Piast, signs for Jagiellonia Białystok
The Polish Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok announced on its website that it has signed Estonian midfielder and national team staple Konstantin Vassiljev for two years.
Vassiljev, 30, played for another Polish top club Piast Gliwice last season and scored five times in 25 games.
Whereas Piast finished 10th in the Ektraklasa, the top level of Polish football, the Jagiellonia managed bronze medals, losing only to Warsaw and Poznan football clubs.
For 2015-2016 season, Jagiellonia has also qualified to play in the first qualification round of the UEFA Europa League.
Vassiljev told Postimees he had another three offers on the table, in addition to his new and old employers. "On was from Israel, one from Kazakhstan and there was also interest expressed from Russia," he said.
