Water Motorsport Athlete Dies After Severe Collision
Estonian competitor Marek Sutt was killed at a Latvian personal watercraft championship when his Runabout 1300 collided with another operated by Latvian Janis Burka on May 29.
The 24-year-old Sutt was thrust onto a rocky shore and died of his injuries on the way to the hospital. Burka was also injured and was taken to the Traumatology Institute of Riga, wrote Delfi.
The remainder of the competition was called off.
