Four Estonian football teams playing in European competition this year will face teams from Iceland, Norway, Finland and San Marino in their first matches.

Last year's champion Levadia had the luck of the draw, and will face SP La Friorita of San Marino in the Champions League first qualifying round. The first game will be on either on July 1 or July 2, with the return leg in Tallinn to take place a week later. The winner will face AC Sparta Prague in the next round.

Nõmme Kalju, who made the Champions League's third qualifying round last year, the joint best result for an Estonian club team, will face Fram Reykjavik of Iceland in the first qualifying round of the Europea League this time. Fram currently lies in eighth place in the Icelandic league.

Sillamäe Kalev was drawn against Espoo Honka of Finland, 10th in the league.

Tartu Santos, a third-tier team which fought itself into the final of the Evald Tipner Cup in May, will begin its international journey against Tromso IL of Norway, which currently plays in the second league in Norway.

The first round will be played either on July 3 or July 10, with the second leg taking place two weeks later.
