Kanter Dominates in Oslo, Sets Season Record
Gerd Kanter took first place in the men's discus throw at IAAF Diamond League track and field meeting in Oslo on Wednesday, setting a season record with 65.52 meters.
Recovering from a back injury, Kanter began the competition quietly and rose to the leader position on his fifth attempt, reported sport.err.ee.
With six points, Kanter now shares first place with Piotr Malachowski in the general standings of the Diamond League.
At today's meeting, Ehsan Hadadi of Iran took second place with 64.63 on his first attempt and Robert Urbanek of Poland took third place with 64.58 on his final attempt.
