The Estonian national basketball team is in Spain for a host of friendlies, so far splitting a pair of games with Senegal and losing to Argentina.

The basketball World Cup will begin this week in Spain, and the Estonian squad traveled to the nation to take on the qualified teams in friendly matches.

The first match was against Senegal, which the team lost 74-70. Head coach Tiit Sokk and Estonia's most productive player, Gregor Arbet, 16 points, both said the win slipped from Estonia's hands after the team mounted a 39-38 halftime lead.

Estonia played against Senegal again on Sunday evening. Reinar Hallik collected 21 points in the 74-61 victory.

Between the Senegal games, Estonia faced an Argentinian team, which included four Olympic gold medalists.

Estonia took an early lead, and was ahead by 10 points at one point early, but trailed by 12 points at half time. Estonia managed to narrow the gap to five points briefly in the second half, but lost the game 89-72.

The national team will face Egypt or the Dominican Republic today at 19:55 Estonian time. You can watch the game live, here.

Although Estonia will not compete for the World Cup, the team has qualified for the 2015 European Championships.
