The entries received at the architecture competition for the Emajõe Business Center, which comprises the Tasku shopping center and Tartu's bus station, were unveiled today, with the judges unanimous on the top three designs - titled City Engine, Port Gateway and Interactive Space.

The winning entry will be announced later today.

Under the terms of the competition, the shopping center will expand to encompass the current bus station area and the passenger terminal will in the future be located inside the Tasku building.

The first stage of the work will be to raze the existing bus station. A conference center and office building will be built in its place.

Nine entries were received in the competition.

Tallinn's bus station reopened in December after a 1-million-euro makeover.
