Three Estonian Films Win Awards in Finland

Estonian films picked up three awards at the Blue Sea festival in Rauma over the weekend.

Short films shined in the international competition, with Hardi Volmer's animated "Olmeheidutus" (Nukufilm, 2011) taking first place, uudised.err.ee reported via  the Film Institute.

Katrin Maimik and Jan-Erik Nõgisto's short feature "Foto" (Kuukulgur Film, 2013) won third in the same category.

In the student film category, Kaur Kokk's short "Last Call" won third prize (Baltic Film and Media School, 2012).

A total of 51 films from six countries took part in the competition.
